AP upgrade - maybe obvious question

I searched and didn't find much specific to my question, so I thought I'd ask because I'm on a time limit.

We went to WDW 1/27-2/1 and I see that I have until 2/11 to upgrade our 6 day tickets to ap (about 350 per person). My question is if I were to upgrade it today (2/8) would my ap have been in effect from 1/27? Or would it be in effect from 2/8? Or would it activate when I go back to Disney?

Sorry if that's very obvious. I'm only asking because *right now* it's not the best time ever to have AP because our youngest is 14 months and kind of a hot mess, but if it was 6 months from now we would absolutely upgrade with NO hesitation. But we live about 4 hours from WDW and that trip can be great but it can also be horrendous, other parents know how that goes.

Upgrading a ticket to an AP doesn't change the date you first used it.

Therefore, if your ticket was first used on 1/27 and upgrade it, your annual pass will be good until 1/27 of next year.

I'm pretty sure that if you've used all 6 days of your ticket that you can no longer upgrade it to an AP. If you've got at least 1 day left then you should be able to upgrade still before your 14 days are up (assuming you have the old style tickets that have to be used within a 14 day period).

ETA: It looks like Florida Resident tickets can be upgraded even after all entitlements are used as long as you're within the 14 day use period (according to the ticket sticky). OP, I'm assuming since you're 4 hours from WDW that you're a Florida resident and these are the tickets you have?

I found out that it was the first day of use, and we actually have one day left because it was just horrible weather the first day we were supposed to go, so I guess my first day was 1/28 lol. Thank you everyone, it was obvious I wasn't sure how to phrase it to find it via google.

That's the nice thing about MDE. It will tell you if you can upgrade the ticket or not. Just have to look there. Removes all question. Probably why OP knew

Well, except MDE has been acting up, telling people they can upgrade their non-expiring tickets that have been used (but not all entitlements have been used) to APs, way past the 14-day upgrade period.
