AP upgrade during trip and Photopass?

i upgrades to AP on last day of trip. I can download pics from the last day, but not from first part of trip. Are they not available to me since my ticket wasn’t upgraded yet?

But, why wait to upgrade?
The day that you upgrade will NOT affect the start-date of your AP.
