AP Two Car Parking Question

Hi my family of four with annual passes will be traveling with extended family to the parks who will have park hopper tickets. We are renting two cars and I was wondering how the free parking worked. If the driver of the second car isn't one of us with the AP but is directly behind us can I flash my AP to get that car free parking? How strict are they? Do I physically need to drive the second car even though we are traveling together? Thanks!!

Just put one person in the car as a passenger. Does not have to be the driver, just a passenger.

I should think that would not be allowed but if one person from car A with an AP were to go into car B so both cars had an AP holder in I think that would be ok.
