DH and I are planning on buying APs sometime in the next year. We have a trip planned for May, that might have to get put on hold due to a wedding. So now we are faced with the decision to push it into the heat of the summer or wait till Christmas and buy an AP then. We do have kids in school, so while I don't mind taking them out some, weeklong trips would be closer to their break times. Would you rather...

1. Have an AP that went from Summer 2018-2019, meaning for us 2 Summer trips and at least 1 Christmas week trip.

or

2. Have an AP that went from Christmas 2018-Christmas 2019, giving us 2 Christmas week trips and 1 summer trip.

My biggest hold up would be that the Christmas trips would definitely be in the busiest times of the year, but that is also the longest park hours! We are commandos and can easily spend 16 hours/day in the parks, even with the kids. But I'm afraid of the summer heat and based on this past summer hours relatively short time to get to be in the parks once you factor in the heat!

Opinions please!!

Tough choice. We are getting our first ever AP's next month. Our school district is starting winter break on 12/15 this year which gave us the idea to do AP's in the first place. So we are doing the week of 12/15 this year, a week at spring break, and Jersey Week 2018. We might sneak a short summer 2018 trip in but my husband only has so much vacation time so we'll see.

Good luck whatever you choose!
