AP special premire of Soaring

The AP Soaring premier is April 15, 16, and 17th. My daughter will be in WDW with her music group during this time, and I am flying down (I don't want to spend 20 hours on the bus with 50 high school kids). She and I have AP's. The girl that is her high school partner for the trip does not have an AP. My daughter want's to premier Soaring very bad, but does not want to leave out her friend. It is my understanding that you have to show your AP to premier the ride. (We have never been there for one of these as we live in Michigan). Can I let my daughter's friend us my AP so they can do this together? Do they scan your fingers. or just look at the pass. I will not go on the ride at that time. I can go at a later date by myself, as I am flying home (remember they are 20 hours on a bus) and don't have to leave till the day after the kids leave.

Yes she can use your AP, but ask a manager. During the mission space AP preview my grandson who has an AP and my husband who used my AP went on it. We asked the managers if my husband could take my place and they said yes. They were very strict and would only let the AP holders go, and no extras. They also checked ALL APs for the expiration dates. But at the AP preview of phiharmagic, they let the AP holders take non-AP holders, probably because they could seat so many at the same time. After the AP holder preview, there may be "soft" opennings, so that all of you can go on it. They start doing this for the guest after the special previews are over. They have previews for DVC, CM, and AP holders.

I'm soo excited to hear that they may do soft openings. I hope so. We will be there the last week in April.

Yaa hoo, we'll be getting there on the 16th for my daughters birthday and we are AP holders. Can't wait to try this ride out..

Is there a height requirement for it?

Anyone think they may run "test" and let people try it out earlier? As they did with test track etc....? Or when that could occur?

I would expect that they will be doing soft openings of Soaring prior to the AP premiere. They were doing soft opening of Mission Space well in advance of it's premiere dates. I would expect that you will see some trial runs in the beginning of April when The Land re-opens.

Keeping my fingers crossed as I will be here the first full week of April.
