AP rules?

Good morning! I'm thinking about purchasing an AP for myself as I will be in Orlando (and probably on property) enough this year to justify it. My question is, if I am the only one in the family with an AP, how does that work? What are the pros and cons? What about Memory Maker for the others in my family who vacation with me? Trying to figure out if it's really worth it for just me.

Only need one for free parking, room discounts, dining discounts, shopping discounts, photopass downloads ...............

As long as others are on your MDE or you are Friends & Family on MDE all their pictures will show without you being there.

Only con I can think of off hand is if something is offered that is restricted - say this reserved seating for the music concerts at Epcot's Festival of Arts - is ONLY for AP so only you could use it, your family can't go with you. But that is minimal.

AP holders staying at a Disney resort can still get the dining plan. I'd do the math to compare your choices, though. Keep in mind that AP holders currently get 20% off at many Disney restaurants when paying OOP (through September 30th of this year).

Anyone can add a dining plan to a room only reservation to make a ticketless package.
