I read somewhere that an AP holder can rent up to 3 rooms at one time with the AP rate. Is that correct? That would mean the AP holder does not have to be staying in the AP rate room?

If I am an AP holder, can I book more than one room at the AP rate?

You can book up to three rooms on one AP. The AP holder has to be there in person when the people in the other room(s) check in. This also includes booking a room under the AP holder's name at different resorts.

The issue on whether you will be allowed to switch the credit card used to secure the room to another one has had mixed results. Some folks have reported that they were allowed to do this at the front desk with no problem while still others have been told that it cannot be done.

Thank you, Gail! I was hoping you would answer because I am always so impressed with the quality of your responses to other posts.
You have given me the answer I was hoping for! We will be checking in with our friends and the credit card issue is no problem because we have already paid for their cash nights (this trip is our gift to them), adding onto our DVC points nights (at OKW). But when I made the ressie with CRO, the CM insisted that we had to be staying in the room to get the AP rate. I know that is true for discount rooms for DVC members, but I didn't think it was true for AP rate rooms. I didn't want to argue so I simply put one room in my name and one room in my husband's name (we both have APs). Now I hope that I don't get a hassle when we switch the name on one room to our friends' name at check-in.
