AP room rate discounts

This may be a really dumb question, but does your AP have to be activated (used for the first time) in order to get the AP discounts on hotel rooms?

No, if they ask, show them the voucher and all will be well.

However, be prepared to go back and show them the activated voucher. I've been asked to do that before.

I just went in May on an AP discounted room at the All Star Sports and was never asked to produce the pass.
