AP Room Only Rates?

Has there ever been an AP room only discount during the Spring Break season? My children both have birthdays to celebrate in April and I was thinking it might be a treat to be in WDW. A room only discount is likely a long shot, but it's worth asking.

I have booked with either an AP, Florida Resident, or GP code several times during spring break. Usually Easter itself is a blackout, as well as at least part of the week before and after, but I have scored a discount as close as checking in the Wednesday after Easter, so it's possible.

Keep your eyes open, and be prepared to book immediately if something comes out. You won't have time to think about it or second guess. Once they get enough bookings they will change the dates on you, and you'll miss out! I know when I snagged that after Easter discount, within a day or two, the dates had been moved down to the following week.

I am still waiting for a AP room only rate for January. Supposedly there will be a GP room only rate for January/February released on Oct 5th, but no AP room rate. That kinda of bothers me a smidge, but I know that AP rates are not guaranteed and only a perk. Luckily I was scouring around the discount boards and found out about the GP being released.
