AP room only discount for BWV studio

Does anyone know if you can use an AP to get a discount on a studio at BWV?

We have a res for 2 days then a waitlist for 3 then a res for the last 3 days.
I want to go ahead and book a room for cash just in case the waitlist doesn't come through.

But when I called they told me the discount is on 1 bedrooms not studios.

When I try to register my AP I get "unexpected error". Maybe because it is a DVC upgrade AP?

It's all about availability. I've had AP discounts on studios, but sometimes they're not available; sometimes the 1BR aren't available. Keep trying, though, because the inventory changes if people cancel. Also, keep trying to register - the website frequently has problems, but persistence pays off.

P.S. You don't say when you're going - if it's during Food & Wine, studios are pretty hard to get in the Epcot resorts.

You can get one if it is available, not all rooms are discounted.

The fact that you got the DVC special price AP does not prevent you from registering, it is something else either wrong with the site or your side of it.

Well I finally was able to register my AP at least.

I call tech support.
I was entering the # after TRAN. She said skip those & enter the # after Tkt

One thing to be aware of. The view you get for cash from Disney Reservation Center is not the same as DVC views. You won't be able to link the two reservations. You will have to check out and check in again. And you may have to move unless they know to block you into the same view.

Finally, not all views at BWV are available through DRC. No BW View or no BWStandard view available through DRC.
