AP room only and dining ??????

Please help me out - can I or can't I do this.
I book an AP Room Only and later I want to add dining(QS).

Can I do this with out canceling my reservation??.
Or does all money return to my cc, and then re-book it as a package(with out tickets). TIA

CM are telling me diffrent things/ who should I talk to to get this done.

On our last trip, we had booked AP room only.. Decided about a week in advance to add dining. Called and they cancelled our ressie, refunded the room charge(which took about a week to credit) and re-booked as package. If I'm not mistaken, we had the same reservation # though. HTH

Yes you can add QS later, but they will have to change your ressie from a room only to a package w/o tickets. You tell the CM to transfer the funds from your original ressie to your new reservation, you may run into CM's that say they cannot do this, but they can, I did this on our trip last year. You are not under the package rule, bigger down payment and must be PIF 45 days(I believe) prior to your trip. Sometimes you just have to keep calling back to get a more experience CM.

You can book an AP ticketless package, and later add a dining plan.
A room only reservation is just that -- a room only.
To my knowledge funds cannot be transferred between the two. Room only is CRO. Packages (even tickletless) are WDTC, who sells the dining plans.
Funds can be transferred from an AP ticketless package that is for only a room to an AP ticketless package with a dining plan. (Since both are sold by WDTC.)
The AP ticketless package of only the room would also include the WDTC exclusives, such as the Planet Hollywood vouchers, luggage tags, etc. (Whereas again, the room only is just that -- a room.)
