I am a new AP holder and I'm trying to figure out what the discount is on rooms for AP. I see the new dates have been released but no mention of what the discount is.

Thanks!

Not dumb; AP is Annual Pass. (And PAP is Premium Annual Pass!)

And they all stink. There is nothing avail for our dates or any others that I tried, glad I have a free dining room booked. Good thing I didn't get my AP just for the room discounts :thumbsup2

Did you also call? I needed Sept 26th-Oct 4th. Sept 26th is not one of the dates included in the posted dates. However, I called and the CM was able to get it for me, just not in a standard room. I had to go with a king room for just that one night. The AP code beat my free dining, so I switched and now I don't have to buy another one of those one day park tickets I don't need. With the money I saved, I was able to purchase the basic DDP just for the 26th, then upgrade to the DxDDP for the next seven nights, and Disney still owed my credit card 47.00.:cool1: I feel like I'm getting the DxDDP for free now.

I did, but I might call again to see if there have been any cancellations. The CM I spoke to wsan't really interested in helping my anyway and I wasn't at a place where I could call back to talk to someone else. I am not usually one to give up easily.

I usually book an AP rate for September, but this year I booked a 1BR at BLT in August, with the 4/3 and a one day ticket. I checked the AP rate for the same room, and the difference was less than $30, so I didn't bother switching. I'll be applying the one day ticket to my AP renewal (my AP expires in August), so I will still come out a little ahead. I had figured that I was getting about 30% off with the 4/3 deal for 10 nights, so the AP rate for my resort and room category must be around 30% as well.

It really pays to run the numbers for all the discounts and packages you quailify for, to see which one is really the best value for you. I usually use the website for this, even if I intend to call to make the reservation.
