AP room Discounts and availability?

Hi, waiting for the Fall/Christmas discounts, but in the meantime was wondering if anyone with an AP has noticed the availability for the AP discounts is more than the Disney Visa or reg public discounts. For example, can you get an AP discounted room at a resort, and the same dates don't show the other two discounts available? That may entice me to buy an AP, plus planning on coming down 4 times this year (but usually short trips and only go to the park 1 or 2 days of the trip). Thanks in advance!

Yes, I still see AP room discounts for next weekend but not the general public discount.

I don't have a Disney Visa.

and the discount is often higher as well. Currently it's 35% whereas the general public one is 30%

When I called about a bounceback offer to compare to the annual discount I had already booked, the CM commented herself that for the exact same room I was paying $50 less. That's not much in the grand scheme but after you take into account the exchange rate for me that's $68 CDN at the moment.

I will tell you from experience that the AP discount depends upon when you are traveling. I saved several hundred dollars more on my April trip by using the Stay 5 Nights and Save More that they were offering to everyone, than the AP discount was for. I'm also finding depending upon what resort, the Disney VISA or General Public Discounts are sometimes more, and they sometimes have different resorts available.

I recommend that you don't really count on the resort discounts for AP saving you more money than other discounts that might be available, it seems to be variable.
