AP room discount question

Hi everyone. We are DVC members and will be getting the AP this year. My sister and her boyfriend are planning on going to WDW this upcoming year. Is it possible for us to book a regular resort room for them with our AP discount? Has anyone does this? TIA.

Like DVC perks, AP perks/discounts are not transferable. The AP holder has to be on the reservation & show the AP at check in.
