Hello all,

Long time stalker of the DIS boards. My AP recently expired 7/7/13 and i am currently within the timeframe to renew my pass. After a quick call to Disney i was told due to the fact I have the new RFID pass any renewal would have to be done onsite at a guest relations. Does anyone know this to be true?

It should not be true at all.

You just want a renewal voucher that can be traded in on your next trip to WDW.

Thanks for the quick reply. I too found it weird that I was given that response.

Haha, I just called for the same thing and was given yet another different answer. It's a disaster right now.

Totally wrong. I just renewed our passes which expire on 8/7 online. Should have the vouchers by August 11th in time for our Labor Day trip. Then we just do what we normally do - go to any Guest Relations and exchange the vouchers. Maybe the Cast Member was confused on how to exchange the voucher because that can only be done at a park at Guest Relations. But you can certainly renew online.

That's not quite the case, either.

It can be done at the parks, yes, but also at TTC and DTD.

(But, not at a resort.)

And just FYI - I renewed online Saturday, July 27th. Vouchers arrived today, Thursday, August 2nd. That's with the free unexpedited shipping. We live in Georgia.

When I go to the renewal page it lets me add my AP renewal to my cart, but they don't expire until November 18. Does anyone know why this is? We aren't going until Nov. 23rd. Could I renew now and new date would be November 19. I am trying to balance my budget out a little and I just am not sure why it seems like it would let me renew this early. Also, we converted our paper passes to RFID cards when there in June. It says if you did this after March or May something that you need to renew at DW. Why then does it give me an option and why would that be?
