I currently have AP from 1/24/2025 - 1/23/2026 and I am allowed to renew up to 30 days after. Does that mean the next period would be 2/24/2026-2/23/2027 or 1/24/2026-1/23/2027 (w/ the renewal discount)? I am debating between cash and MMB. I have multiple trips in 2026 but losing ability to use points in July (Dance The World) and DCL Wish (Nov). Also, the boss wants to go back to Disney during spring break 2027 but the price difference (497 for spring break/easter vs 381 for president's day) so ultimately, I'd love to cover both 2026 and 2027. It would be great if my renewal expanded till 2/23/2027. MMB would only give me 2026 calendar year or does that allow me to pay $99 to purchase anytime withing 2026? And, is that $99 PER person?

BRV S-R 6/27-6/28 2026
BC S-R 7/2-7/3 2026
RIV S-R 9/18-9/20 2026
RIV S-R 11/1 2026
RIV 1BR-R 11/6-11/7 2026

and

RIV 1BR 2/12-2/21 OR 3/26-4/5 2027

RIV NOV 2027 (maybe?)

1/24/2026 to 1/23/2027 regardless of when you actually do the renewal.

Don't renew. Get a new AP and activate it when you go in June.

MMB costs $99 and attaches to one person for the calendar year (not a rolling 365-day year like APs). The vast majority of benefits are shared with everyone in your DVC household, although for example the person who officially "owns" MMB will need to be the one to check into the DVC lounge for priority access.

None of this will help with RIV Nov 2027. That probably becomes another "let the AP expire and get a new one then."

My thoughts too. If I got the full memory maker, it would be a no-brainer but I have cash for AP so there's no real benefit of using points unless I'd get something out of it.

Oh, you meant "does MMB let you buy APs for points for everyone in your DVC household?"? I...think so? I'm shaky on who can get ticket benefits from MMB, which I think is immediately family members living in your household. It would have more value to me if the (non-AP) tickets can be bought for anyone in your party, not just your household (hey DVC Fan team -- good FAQ item for a future YouTube video on MMB).

APs for points still seem marginally suboptimal. Spending your points on APs values them around $15/point. That is more than my cost per point per year, so I suppose I could save a little money by having a contract just for that (still a savings after $99/year for MMB? can we rely on that benefit to exist indefinitely?), but can't we make more money by renting the points out and then using the money to buy APs? Either way, it feels pretty close. Replacing those points with OTU points would normally cost $20/point, but hey you get those 2-for-1 with MMB.

MMB applies for calendar year rather than the AP yearly date range. It would be a no brainer for me if it included photopass but 30 days doesn't cover multiple visits.

It will take a fair amount of time and effort to get more than $15/point renting them out and you will also owe taxes on that rental income (granted, not everyone will pay the taxes they owe). IMO, if you have direct points you don’t plan to use, it is easily the most efficient way to monetize your points.

Don't forget that MMB lets you get the 24 BOGO OTU points that can go toward AP purchase with points.
I guess that actually pays for it correct? 12 X 15 = $180 free? $180 - $99 = $80 profit? Or is it $20 a point?

I guess it actually doesn't matter if you want or not want MMB (assuming you wouldn't lose the 24 points) as you should simply pay for MMB.
