AP Renewal - Upgrade Question

Hey!

I'm renewing my pass today woohoo! I was looking at getting the Signature with the option to upgrade to the Plus should I need some Christmas Disney

with the renewal the passes are discounted slightly. Does anyone know if I upgrade online at the discounted renewal rate and then upgrade at the park to the plus... will the upgrade amount be based on the discounted renewal amount or the regular 'plus pass' fee?

They charge the full difference and you lose the discount if you upgrade. I've done it twice and my sister has done it once. I asked for a lead and did get the discount applied once, but my sister had upgraded the previous weekend and they wouldn't refund. This was 5 years ago, I was denied last year when I asked. If you decide to do a day during Christmas you may be better off just buying a 1 day ticket. You can still use your AP discounts and get free PP pics even if you haven't used your AP to enter the parks that day.

Also, if you're local, I'd consider volunteering for a runDisney race. You get a free ticket if you do 2 shifts Thur-Sat or 1 on Sunday morning. I either give them to friends or use them on days I'm blocked.

No just do the math. Realistically will you go a minimum of 10 days over the next year? If yes you've paid for the pass at a decent rate.
