I've always heard about the AP renewal window....30 days before or after the expiration date. My DAP expires on Sept 6, and rates go up Aug. 5, so I would be outside my window to renew at the lower price, right? So, I went to the AP site and clicked on 'renew passport' and it let me do it. Why is that? Is there a different rule if you do this online as opposed to going to the park?
Anyway, it seems to have worked and I'm supposed to get my new card in the mail, and I got it for the current price of $279.
Just a little confused :confused3

:cheer2: Glad they let you do it early!

I really thought my DAP this year was $299....I purchased it in February this year. How did you get it for $279. Am I missing something?

There's a $20 discount for renewing.

..and a big whopping $20 DVC discount (NOT on renewing..just the first time. Renewing is the same price as non DVC) I'll take what I can get and was glad to slide in before the price increase.
