My AP is up for renewal in April. Has anyone bought the Costco Deluxe AP & used it to renew? We have (kids & I) Premium AP's. Can I use the $50.00 gift card to upgrade the deluxe to premium?

I did receive the letter from Disney that gives me $20. off if I renew. I like the extra $30. ;)

Thanks for any help. :goodvibes

I did! Well - actually I let me AP laspe by a few days. I purchased the Costco card for 269.00 for me and my daughter. We used it to reourchase the AP's - we do Deluxe ones and I used on of the 50.00 gift cards for parking pass - plus a tiny bit of the other too.. No questions asked. The remaining portion of the gift card was used for lunch at the parks. No questions, issues etc.. It is a regular 50.00 per person gift card to be used any way you wish. We didn't stand in the regular lines either - we went to guest setvices outside the parks and did the exchange. Much quicket than the regular ticket lines - but you can go there too...

I coudn't see NOT saving an extra 30.00 per person as we are a family of 4 - so that is an extra $120.00!!

We did it, we let our APs lapse in July, then DBFs family bought the SoCal APs for us for xmas, we used the $50 gift cards (and various other gift cards for Disney & with the Visa logo) to upgrade, we paid oop $106 for 4 upgraded Premiums. :) We were happy with that! :) But yes, the answer to your question is yes, you can use the $50 gift card to upgrade.

I was wondering if it would be possible to get your renew and make payments on it??

Yes, this was one of the options on my renewal papers. :thumbsup2

But that wouldn't really be considered renewing...it's just buying a new pass. That's what we did...just bought a new pass instead of renewing.

They do keep your info, and in fact hubby and son took their vouchers (we bought them online end of last year when there was a sparkling good deal on Deluxe APs) to Guest Relations to the left of the Disneyland gates, and they were able to print up the new APs right there, no AP processing center needed!
