AP renewal question

I just received the renewal notice for our AP's. I thought renewing by mail or online awarded you a $10 discount. Not anymore?? Is there any perk to renewing online? I know we would receive a different picture on the AP, but that's not important to us. I'm thinking to just let the AP lapse and buy a new one so we can visit on a blockout day. Any advice?

Oh - I buy the So Cal AP's, not sure if that matters.

I believe we were offered $20 discount on our PAPs, but we will let them lapse until we plan another trip. For us, the discount is not worth paying for the couple of months we're not using them.

Thanks for the info. I was thinking the discount may only apply to the more expensive AP's, but the So. Cal works for us. I did see that AAA was offering some sort of $10 discount on new AP's. They did that last year - purchase your AP at the gate and get a $10 Disney gift card.
