AP renewal question- just called member services...

I just got off the phone with Member services. I wanted to renew my ap since I will be in WDW Aug 12-17 and my pass expires on the 16th. The woman I spoke to asked if I received any letter offereing me a special discount off my renewal. I did not so she called someone and she told me I could go to the conceirge and renew my pass there for an additional amount off. Does anyone know anything about this? I just assumed I would pay the DVC renewal price. Could she have just confused the "renewal discount"?

There were coupons in the last Mickey Montitor for discounts on annual passes. I believe the deal ended on the 31st of July, though. I am not sure of any others.
