AP Renewal Question - 45 Anniversary 13 months for 12

I have a Platinum AP which expires 1/17/2017.
The 13 months for 12 months promotion ends 1/3/2017.
If I renew my AP on or before 1/3, does it extend until 1/3/2018 or 1/17/2018?

Just wondering if I should bother for the timing if I don't gain much more than two weeks. Thanks!

A renewed AP keeps the anniversary date even if you renew early so your AP renewed early with the 13 month promotion should expire 2/17/2018

If you renew by 1/3/17 it should expire February 17, 2018 (instead of January 17, 2018). You can renew up to 60 days before expiration but the expiration of the renewal is based on the original expiration date.
