AP renewal - can you switch from platinum to gold?

I bought a platinum pass this year because I was attending a conference in Orlando and didn't want to have black out dates. For renewing next year, I don't want the platinum pass. Can I switch to gold?

Yes, they will allow you to downgrade the pass when you renew.
