What is the discounted room rate (percentage) if we were to get an AP??

It really depends on the time of year and the level of room you book. Right now we have a standard view room at POR booked through the BRP at a rate of $109 a night plus tax. That is $40 a night off of the rack rate of $149 a night plus tax. We are going from Nov 19th through the 26th which is regular season.

It's usually just a flat dollar amount now.

Ok....how does one go about finding out if it's worth getting the AP. Sorry, I just have no clue how to begin. DH was at a store today and a gal was telling him that she gets an AP and her room is 40% less by doing this. I don't know how to even go about any of this....HELP

It's hard to say because it really depends on what time of year you plan on going and what type of resort you'd be staying at. Sometimes it's possible for the rates to go even lower and it will automatically be reflected on your bill. I can say that with our AP's, for both trips, we never saved less than $300 for the room.

We'd be looking to go in August '06 and staying at WL. I find it all so confusing and thought I had things all figured out, as we just went in 8/05 and now a new twist.

The best rate program is currently only offering discounts through March 2006 since it's a new program. I think you'll have to wait a bit more.

Both the last round of call in AP rates & the Best rates have been about $70 off per night for deluxes, $40 - $45 off per night for moderates & $20 off per night for the values.......

It is a flat $$$ off & not a percentage....These discounts may go up or down, but if you want to figure if an AP would be worth it, these are the most recent discounts.
