We bought APs on our last trip. I have registered my AP with my disneyworld.com account. How do I find out the AP room cost? I'm looking for October. When I go to book a room, it gives me the regular rate. When I go to the passholder section, I don't see a button that tells me the rates, just the program offers.

I think AP rates are only out through September so far.

Keep an eye on the Discounts subthread for updates.:thumbsup2

The Passholder Offer page is where room discounts are posted. You have to plug in dates and a room to see what is available on the AP rate (or you can call when rates are released).

The rates are not across the board discounts -- days of the week and type of room will affect the discount. And they only discount a portion of the open rooms.

You can practice on the Aug-Sept offer!!

Thank you so much! By the time I am booking our room for Feb, I'll have it down :)

I have booked a couple of rooms through the website - passholders section and it was very convenient to do. When they come out - the rates will be listed under offers when you log into the passholders section - you'll be able to enter your dates and see which resorts are available for your stay at the discounted rate/offer provided. I thought the discounts were really good - especially on deluxe resorts!!! Happy AP Disney fun!:)

Just be sure to compare all discounts released. Don't assume the AP will be the best rate. Used to be, but not necessarily true anymore.

We booked a BB offer for upcoming trip, and both BB offer and AP are 35% discount. But the big difference is that the BB offer discount applies to all my dates (12 nights) and the AP did NOT discount the weekends, they were listed at rack rate :sad2:
So if you don't have a BB offer, probably the regular discount of 30% assuming it incl weekends, would also have been better then AP discount

Anyone have an idea when those AP rates for October will come out?

That my friend, is the million dollar question! We've all been waiting for weeks & weeks for dates beyond 9/29, hoping it's tomorrow...then the next day, then the next! It could be next week, it could be September. There's no rhyme or reason & they don't publish when they are going to release them. Very frustrating!

True true true. While AP rates used to be 40%, the recent ones were 35% at best...some resorts only 15-20%. I'm kicking myself now for not booking BB on my last trip, for October.

Thank you for the advice!! We are new to the APs and I didn't even think about the discount not applying to weekends! Smart! Thanks!

We are waiting for the AP rates to come out for October as well. I start wondering if I should just book through AAA or wait another couple of weeks. August is here and soon will be half over. They are probably waiting to see how many people BB, we couldn't because the dates didn't match up with what we needed.

You can book an AAA room only rate directly thru WDW. That's what I've done for jan visit. Now I'll wait to see if I get a BB offer when we go in a couple of weeks, and if I do, will switch to BB rate, then wait to see what AP rates come out for Jan.

I'm not a big fan of AAA. I'm sure there are some food agents, but many don't know anything about WDW and don't watch for discounts. So you're stuck doing all the work anyway, then trying to contact the TA to get you the discount. TA may or may not be available. I've heard of some who have missed out on a discount because their TA wasn't available or away.

If you want to use a TA I would suggest going with a TA who specializes in WDW travel..

That's what we did......I have ressie on HOLD with AAA rate. I figured that would give us a little time for the AP rates. If they don't come out until the hold is up, I think we'll book, put the money down & transfer to AP rates!!! That's assuming AP rates will EVER come out!!! :confused3 :rolleyes1
