While trying to use codes to get a lower rate, a cast member told me that AP Rates (which should be even lower than the codes available now) will be out on or about 7/29!

Guess I'll spend another 1/2 hour on hold that morning!

;)

Does anyone know if the AP rates that are coming out are only good for the times that the other codes are good for (Oct to Dec 25)? I am anxiously awaiting any codes for Jan 2003! :p

CSR won't be valid for the AP rates either. I didn't ask about ASMo but I assume it is the same too. That stinks.

I have a friend who has ASMu booked for mid October, same time DH and I go. She has the new DC discount now. But was told by the CM she dealt with this morning that AP rates would be out 7/28.

The CM I spoke to earlier today told me AP rates for the fall will be out next Sunday, July 28. We both commented that it was odd that they will be out on a Sunday rather than a Monday. Who knows? We'll find out next week. The CM was nice enough to extend my deposit due date to later next week, so I can call for AP rates first.

Did the CM tell you that AP rates were going to be cheaper then the new code? I ask because the last time the codes were actually cheaper then most of the AP rates. Either way, I will be sure to see if my Poly rate gets any cheaper with my AP!

I will bet that the AP rates will not be lower than the code rates that came out today; last year they were identical in many cases. However if the rooms allocated to the codes run out, there may be additional rooms available under the AP rate.

If you have an AP anyway, you might be doing someone a favor to use the AP rate if identical to the code rate, since the limited number of rooms available under codes are open to anyone.

I keep seeing AP rate, what is it and what does it stand for? Thanks! I am booked for 3 nights at the ASMO after the 4 days Wonder. I got a military over flow rate of $82.66 per night which includes the 12% tax. The codes this morning were the same. Any chance I could beat this with a AP rate? We will be at WDW 10/31/02-11/03/02.

What resorts have a suite seat up with a sleeping area separate. I am looking for our 2003 trip too :)

Thanks bunches!

Buzz2001,
Where did you hear CSR wouldn't be included in AP rates? The CM I spoke with this morning said it probably would be. I hope it is. I settled for CBR using the code, but I really want CSR. I guess it won't hurt me to try a new resort, but I'm a Coronado girl at heart!

buzz&woody'smom - AP means annual passholder rate. You have to have an annual pass to get this rate (you don't need it when make the reservation, but will need it when you check in). I've always found that to be the best rate, but I'm not so sure any more. I've never gotten a lower rate than I got today with the code.

Just marked it on my calendar to call this weekend!!! I got the discount code for the CB, WL & AKL, but if the AP rate is cheaper, than that would be fantastic!!!

Pugsley - I heard from 2 different CM's today when I called hoping the first CM was wrong

The CM I talked to said CSR would be included and she even quoted me a price :D
It worked out to $99/night including tax vs. $110/night with the code.:D :D

So if it works out that she is correct.....the CSR will only be $27 more than the All Stars using the DC rate, which is a mere 15% discount.
AND...just $96 more that the All Stars with the code, which is only 25% discount.

She also said they would be available to book on Sunday July 28th!!:D

Can't wait til Sunday!!!

Wonder what the All Stars will be....didn't ask!????

:D

Cindyfan I hope you are right about CSR. We really want to stay there again but settled on POFQ today since it was not included in the codes. The CM at CRO told me it would not be included in the AP discounts. She said ASMovies would not either. I am keeping my fingers crossed for all us CSR fans though:)

I am with you PatriciaH.......:D
I hope she is right about CSR!!!
If those rates are that good, we would prefer CSR. But would not return to CBR, or POR.
Otherwise we will stay with All Star Music!!:D

I spoke to a very helpful CM today and when I asked about the AP rates coming out on the 28th she said yes thats when they will be released but she commented that they probably wont be better then the general public rates. That the general public rates out this time around are about the best you will see.

Of course I'm hoping shes mistaken :):) I would love to get the Board Walk even a bit lower. I had to laugh when everyone was posting how much they would be saving from their original reservations to the reservations with then new rates. Heck im going from $467 (6 nights at the ASMO) to $1192 (6 nights at the Bordwalk)...so im INCREASING $725!!! hehehe.

Wonder what the AP rates would be if better 45% 50%....drool :)

The third CM I asked when booking the Contemporary told me no go on CSR and she even told me the conventions that were going to be there at the time and that was the reason why CSR wasn't included. I hope they are all wrong because my DD is bummed that we are not staying at CSR. Sunday will tell.

The very helpful CM that I worked with yesterday also told me that AP rates would be available for booking. AND that the prices would be better than the codes available yesterday. Here are the prices she quoted me:

Polynesian Garden View with code was $179 + tax
Polynesian Garden View with AP rate will be $164 + tax

Same type of discounts will be available for all types of rooms.

-Goofy!

Goofy- Did the CM say when they are going to be booking for the AP rates?

I've seen a couple of different days on this board ranging from July 28th - August 1st.

Right now I booked a GV Poly for November 30 - December 7 for 198.69/night including tax. What you are saying is that I'll be paying $182.04/night including tax. Which would save me an additional $16.65/night x 7 nights would be an additional savings of $116.55.

I LIKE IT!!
