AP Rates?

Can anyone guess when the next round of AP rates might be coming out? I am so scared that I am going to miss them with all the Free Dining posts.

Last year the AP for the Epcot resorts came out mid-May for July (and maybe August). And I believe (not 100% sure though) from previous posts I've read that the AP came out mid-August for October (and maybe November).

Hope this helps... I'm looking for both of those actually myself!!! Hoping for 2 trips this year.

Yes, here we are the few, the lonely, the folks that have AP's or Fla. Residents. I am going to just use our 40% off room discount and pay for a few nice meals OPP.

I was thinking I was the only one with an AP rate and still happy about it!

I just looked in my email folder - on 5/17/06 I got an email with passholder rates for 7/5-8/5/06. (Studios at OKW and SS for $159.)

Then on 7/12/06 I got an email for Value resorts for $59/night for 8/27-9/30 except 9/1 and 9/2. That rate was repeated in another email on 8/16 for later dates.

Hope this helps! I know I've been watching for AP rates also.

IF AP rates come out and I get an AP will I be able to do the DDP with my family and get the rate on the room or do I then have to do the DDE?

We are currently booked at POR through AAA with their discount.

The AP rates are for room only ressies. You can't buy a package that includes the dining plan with an AP discount. So you have to do the math and see what works best for you. I usually go for the AP rate and food OOP.

You can have a AP rate on the room and buy the discount card for the meals or you can buy a package with at least a one day base ticket, you can get the DDP that way, then still use the the AP for a ticket. Then there is AAA, with a % off on the room and the DDP with a ticket purchase.

Oh! This makes me so happy to hear that there are AP rates (usually) for September. With my AP and DDE card, it would be cheaper for me to get a room only discount as opposed to a MYW package with free dining. Now I just need to wait (im)patiently for the AP discount and MNSSHP tickets to come out!
