I had to let my AP lapse, so I am no longer able to get into the "secret" AP section on the Disneyland website (not sure why that has to be kept exclusive....this might entice someone to get an AP....but that's just my thoughts) anywhos.......was wondering if rates for the PPH are listed for the last week of Nov & first week of Dec yet?

I'm looking for the suite rates...since I have 6 in my family.....so expensive!!!! I'll even take the rate for the View Rooms & see if doing 2 rooms is cheaper.

Thanx for any help on this. Chances are I'll renew....but would like to start budgeting to see if this would be a possibility for us this year.

I think they only list the AP rates a few months out. Currently I only see till June which are I think only a 10% discount right now.

Paula is right. And sometimes they don't even list the "good rates" (meaning the ones we all want which fall below $200 per night) until just a few weeks before the date you want!:scared1: It's crazy - I remember in 2009, a bunch of us were waiting for October AP rates and the stupid "good" ones didn't come out until almost mid-September! It's impossible to plan that way.

Last year I asked Courtney and Michele to check December AP rates for me (before I got another AP in November), and all the way up to mid-November, they did not have any good rates showing on the calendar for December.

What I did to get a good rate for the PPH last December was go onto the DLR website and into my "My Disneyland" account. I pulled up their offer of 20% off at PPH or whatever it was, I plugged in dates and rates using that discount...and then I did not book anything. I saved the offer in the "Saved Offers" section and left it there. This was in October, I think.

A few days to one week later, I got an e-mail from DLR that said something like, "We see you are considering another stay at the Paradise Pier..." And they offered me a room for $163 a night with a PIN code - for December, peak season - which was great!. It turned out to be a 35% discount, which was better than or on par with what an AP rate would have been, and the CM's who booked me and checked me in told me that not too many folks had received that offer. I assume that's because they didn't do the 'Saved Offers' thing that I did.

However, when I told people of this on the DIS, a couple of them tried the same trick (for both PPH and GCH) - and lo and behold, the same thing happened! DLR sent them offers with great rates & PIN codes as well.

Hmmm...but just now, reading what you said in your TR, I think even if you were able to get something in the $160-ish range for the PPH in late November/early December, because of the fact that you'd have to get 2 rooms it would still be very, very costly.

Thanx Sherry!! I wish they would put specials out a little earlier, but they offer them when they notice a large block of rooms non-reserved. If we could secure a really good deal (Like we just had), then doing the 2 rooms or the suite might be in the budget......but I surely can't spend as much as they're asking right now.....ouch!
