Sorry, no availability then either. I plugged in random dates for April & May, and the THV never came up. I didn't see them as a choice for "available resorts" on the AP site, but SSR was listed, so not sure how they classify them, as SSR or on their own. Quite possibly they are not offering a discount on them at all this round.

Can someone confirm for me the blackout dates around Easter for the AP discount? Is it blacked out for all resorts at that time? I am actually not needing it this year, but wanting to know for next year b/c we will have an AP over spring break 2013. I just want to have an idea of how many days before and after Easter are actually blacked out.

Can someone confirm for me the blackout dates around Easter for the AP discount?

Right now just the week prior and most of the week after Easter day are blacked out (April 1-11). However, my resorts are totally wide open and every single room category is available, so I'm checking daily to see if they release some deals to fill some rooms. In prior years, they have not blacked out Easter, but that was mainly for the few years after 9/11. It's all a guessing game right now as to how many rooms need to be filled.

I find this so intriguing.....Why open part of the week if not all of it? Interesting. Anyway, Thanks for letting me know. I teach so we are always in FL for spring break the first week of April and vary our time at WDW. Next year, Easter is the first weekend of our trip. We will have APs from a trip in January, so maybe there is a chance that if nothing else we will get a deal on the last few nights... but, still hoping for there to be better deals this year for those here still waiting.

This year, we are staying at AKL with a 35% off pin code for two nights then going to SVR (off-site) because we couldn't afford the high Easter prices.

I don't know.....the only thing I can think is maybe historically crowds have died down by the end of Easter week. As of right now, there are a TON of empty rooms during the blackout, so it will be interesting to see if thousands of people suddenly decide to pay $600+ per night, or if disney will offer a discount to fill all of these empty rooms.
