Great thread! I am getting ready to book a stay at the Poly using the room only discount promo but wanted to see if purchasing an AP made any price difference. Would someone mind checking what the price would be to book an GV club level room at the Poly checking in on Jan 5 and departing on Jan 12? If CL is not available, a standard GV room will be fine too. Thanks so much!!

Will an AP discount come out for the Spring and if when?
if one does come out can I purchase one and then apply it to my reservation? I already have dining and 1 day base ticket on my ressie?

I am just looking to not pay rack rate.. LOL

This is the cancellation policy I got when I booked my room:
CANCELLATION POLICY: In order to receive a refund of your deposit, including credit card deposit transactions, notification of cancellation must be received 5 days prior to your arrival date. To cancel a reservation, call (407)-W-DISNEY(934-7639). Additionally, if you are holding any other reservations, they will not be cancelled unless you advise us. The cancellation and refund policy are subject to change.

However, if you book it as a room and dining plan package, you can add the DDP, it is 45 days.

I just checked the prices and they are they same. However POLY garden view CL is no longer available online.

I hate to say it, but I think there is a pretty slim chance of that happening. BWV has a very limited inventory, and they are often booked up in advance. You can always check again, but if you are set on a 1 br DVC villa, you may have to look elsewhere, or maybe BWI. I looked up BC villas and nothing was even bookable.

I know the feeling about not wanting to pay rack room.

I don't have an answer to most of your questions, sorry.

But I believe IF a rate comes out, you can convert to a room plus dining package, and buy the tix seperately. But they only apply the AP to certain category of room, so its possible you have your heart set on a CL water view, but only a standard view is available.

If you book as a room only, with no dining, you have to put down a new deposit, and then get your deposit from the package refunded.

I got a WL courtyard view AP rate at the same price as POFQ water view rack room rate.

You are most welcome! I am sorry that it doesn't look like it will work for you.

Have you looked into renting DVC points for BCV? I was able to get a really great deal, using a broker (one of DIS sponsors). I saved over 50% off at BWV. There are terms and conditions to it that may not work for you, but it may not hurt to give it a looksee.

I'm not sure how you're looking at the chart, but there have been AP discounts in April for both 2010 and 2011 -- I was able to get them. They are rather limited and you can't always get your first choice resort. We stayed at FW Cabins in 2011 and at BWV in 2010 for my DD's spring breaks that are always the first week of April. Go back and take a look at the charts. It may cheer you up.

For example, in 2010, there were AP RO discounts for 1/1/2010 through 6/3/2010. In 2011, there were AP RO discounts of 32% to 42% for 1/2/2011 through 4/16/2011.

First you have to have an account with Disney. I usually start with Disneyworld.com. There will be tab that says "Passholders" towards the top of the page. Click on that and you will be asked to input your pass info, if you haven't already saved it to your account.

After that a purple/blue screen with info will pop up. An option for "Passholder offers" will be under the pic of Halloween Chip and Dale. Click on that and the passholder offers will pull up.

So I finally bought our annual passes!! We will not activate until January but I have our will call certificate. I would love to log on to the Passholder website to check room rates but can't match my confirmation # to any of the examples to be able to register my certificate. There was no option to choose an exchange voucher instead or I would have selected that. Any idea how to log on before the AP is activated? Thanks so much!

You have to call the IT department of Disney ( I do not have that number anymore) to have the vouchers added to your account. I was told that it couldn't be done (but read on here it could), so I was insistant and kind of got the runaround about it, but eventually after asking for a supervisor and being transfered, I was able to have it added it to my disney account so I could look up rates.

Or you can call 407-939-7675 which is the reservation line or 888-701-4100 the AP holder line, and they can look it up for you.

So do they always give you 24 hours to show the AP after check in? I want to get an AP from Shades of Green but they close at 7PM and we probably wont arrive until 8PM! So if I book a room at a Disney Resort with an AP discount and do not have it yet at check in, will they definately give me 24 hours to produce it?
