Annual Passholder Rates have been released for travel between October 3 - November 22 and November 26 - December 24,2011

Deluxe and Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts: 40%
Value and Moderate Resorts: 30%
The Campsites at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort: 15%

Just booked BWV at 40% off !!! :cool1:

If I dont have my AP yet, but plan on getting one, can I still call up and book?

I was told in the past that you could, if you can get through on the phone. I think if you do it online, you need the AP numbers. But I could be wrong.

I'm really frustrated. I contacted my travel agent, who said she could not book me the AP rate unless I had my Annual Pass numbers. I don't have them yet...I was under the impression you could book the room with the AP rate before you actually bought the passes.

I can go ahead and by the passes now, but if I do "will call," will I even have the AP numbers? If I have to wait for them to mailed to me, the available rooms with the AP will probably be gone.

Advice? What should I do?

Call Disney reservations directly. I did this morning. I booked a passholder rate and they did not ask for the number. Confirmation just says I must have the AP upon check in. Same as with AAA rates.

I booked with a travel agent, so I can't handle my reservation. But she clarified with me that she was trying to book online because she couldn't get through to Disney on the phone. Online I guess you do need the AP, but by phone you don't. Here's hoping she gets through on the phone soon. She's working real hard for me, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed and wishing for some pixie dust! :goodvibes

Thanks for the good advice. I hope everyone here gets some great room rates!

You can call the Annual Pass number at 407 560 7277 and buy your annual pass and book at the AP rate at the same time. you will receive a voucher and will have to go a park or Downtown Disney when you arrive to change it for an AP. I have done this several times.

I would still call myself and may another reservation. Then, you could always cancel the TA res. Yes, you do need AP number to make the res on line.

I just made a reservation with the discount by phone. They do not ask for your annual pass number. They do tell you you will be asked to present the pass when checking in.

Anybody finding there is not a lot of availablility. I could only get the BWV studio for our dates in Oct. The beach club disappeared while I was on hold. I was also trying to book a short 4 night stay in Dec, but not really finding anything that I like the first 2 weeks of Dec. I don't remember Having a problem booking a room in the spring and I waited until 3 weeks after discounts were released. I wonder if they are discounting less rooms.

We are going Oct 20-30 and booked the POFQ way back in Feb....the CM said there are absolutely no POFQ discounts for any of those dates, not even a single night

For $500 more I booked the BWI standard room...after trying to get in the BC and YC but again not one single night during my stay is discounted at those two resorts

I could have POR, CBR and CSR for mods and I could have BWI, WL and AKL for the deluxes but that was it (didnt ask for villas)

I'm jealous thats what I wanted BWI standard room all that was available was deluxe club level. All room categories were available Oct 3-9, but not Oct 4-9.:confused3 I spoke with guest services because I had this problem back in May (the room was available for 12 nights, but not 10), and they fixed it and gave me the room I wanted. Not this time guest services would not budge. I thought adding nights could be a problem not subtracting them. I was told the longer you stay the easier it is to get a room discount. We are planning 2 weeks next year with a split stay. I hope I don't end up at the same resort for 2 weeks because that is the only way I can get a discount. :sad2:I think I am going to Hawaii in 2013 so much easier that playing the disney discount change your reservation a hundred times game.

Yay! My travel agent was quite persistent with calling on the phone, and finally got through and was able to get me a good rate. She said the phones have been crazy all day.

I hope everyone here gets the rates they are wishing for. :tinker:

Needed WLodge for Dec 2nd... and a standard room is $326!???? huh?
other nights earlier in the week I saw woods for $216 and courtyard for $223.

So what up with Dec 2nd?
Have BB booked for that night.. Courtyard bunkbed for $253... but would like a lower, and cheaper, category.

Can't understand why that night isn't discounted like the other nights?

I'm so disappointed! We've have CL at the Poly booked for the 2nd week in Nov and there is no AP rate for that room that week. :( In fact, there's hardly any CL rooms available. WTH?! Even the villas seem skimpy.

Does the pass holder discount work like dining plan where as long as your check-in date is with in the dates you get the rate for your entire stay? Also do one AP get the discounts for the whole family?

I'm finding that (at some resorts) we get the discounted rate during the week, but have to pay the full price rate on Fri & Sat.

Yes I noticed there were hardly an cl rooms available. I wonder if they are saving the cl rooms for the public discounts. I can't imagine they can sell them at full price. Who in their right mind would pay what they are asking for at rack rate.

No, for the last several years the room rate fluctuates depending on what day of the week it is and what season each day falls under. I know last Sept/Oct we had several different rates that week (weekend, value season, regular season, then weekend rates again). I got the AP rate for the entire nine days, but got charged a different amount for different nights. I think too many people were checking in on the last day of value season just to get the cheaper rate throughout their trip, so Disney went to a nightly rate. I know several years ago because of how the AP dates fell, I had six nights on the AP rate followed by two nights at rack rate. The year before I would have been able to get the entire trip at the AP rate.

Unlike the room rates, the DDP you will get for the entire trip, as long as you check in by the last day of the promotion.

Only one adult AP is needed to get the AP room rate (also a fairly recent change as people used to be able to use a child's AP to get an AP room discount). Everyone else can either buy their tickets ahead of time through a broker or Disney (site or store) or buy them at check in from guest services. You can not add their tickets to the AP pkg however, or the AP holder would then also have to buy a matching ticket. With that one AP you can make the ressie a ticketless AP pkg and add the DDP for everyone in the room or leave it as a room only. If you add the DDP it then becomes a ticketless pkg and is subject to all the pkg rules ($200.00 deposit, balance due by 45 days out, and you may incur penalties if you make changes to the reservation within that 45 day period).

But a lot of people will book it with the intention of applying a discount later on. If enough people do that then there isnt any reason to offer a discount ( since the rooms appear to be filled). They don't offer discounts on filled resorts/room types/etc. This is why I never book a room at rack rate unless I'm positive I'm willing to pay it, otherwise I'm just shooting myself in the foot.
