Has there ever been AP discounts on the DL resorts in July in past years?

I'm local, so I don't often stay at the resorts, but I believe that AP discounts are available year round. I might be wrong though.

We are booked at the Grand Californian this coming July and were given the AP discount.

did you just ask? What is your rate? I called today to ask about them and I was told that the AP rate is the same as AAA....which is 20% off. IS this correct? The AAA rate I got is $248 cityview in July.
She did ask if I HAVE an AP...I said I would get one if I was able to get the rate.

It was only 10% for a suite at the Grand Californian. I don't know if it may change depending on the type of room or not.

Right now, all you get is the basic 10% off. Closer to the time (like May or June) they may release lower AP rates.

Annual Passholder rates have now been announced through the end of May. The 10% Annual Passholder discount is always available off the standard room rate year round.

when you say the annual passholder rates have been announced for dates thru the end of May...are you referring to the AP rates that are better than 10% off ?

Yes!

Disneyland Annual Passport holders can get rooms at the Disneyland Resort hotels for as low as $79 at Paradise Pier, $129 at Disneyland Hotel or $159 at Grand Californian on weekdays (Sun-Thur). On weekends (Fri & Sat), $119 at Paradise Pier, $159 at Disneyland Hotel or $199 at Grand Californian. The "Super Sunday" rate of $59 at Paradise Pier on Sunday nights was not extended past 3/28/04. You must show proof of valid Annual Passport upon check-in. Ask for rate plan APN.

Does it have to be a Premium AP or will a Deluxe AP get these same rates? Do I have to have the passport when I make the reservation or just when I check in? Thanks so much!

From the Disneyland website:

"Special rates, like "AP Nights," are available for all Annual Passholders Call (714) 956-MICKEY for rates & availability. Rooms available at this price are limited and subject to availability. Advanced reservations required. Weekend rates and other room rates will vary. Excludes Resort fees and taxes. Limit 5 people per room Restrictions apply. Valid Annual Passport required for reservations and check-in. Not valid with any other discounts or promotions. All prices and special offers are subject to change without notice."

I have made several Annual Passholder rate reservations recently, and have never been asked for my Annual Pass number. I have had to show my valid, active Annual Pass each time at check-in.
