AP rates for CR tower vs north wing

Hi, so......do you think my odds of getting an AP rate in a wing room would be better than getting one for a tower room?

I'm trying to decide between 4 night wing, 3 nights 14th floor, or, 5 nights tower, 2 nights 14th floor. This would be for the second week in Dec. 2005.

But I would HAVE to get the AP rate for the tower or we couldn't afford it. And I'd hate it if I called the end of August next year and was told there were no AP rates for the tower, and then be left with no reservation at all.

What do you guys think?

I am interested in this information myself. We will coming back from DCL on 12/17 and my DH would love to spend a few night at the CR tower before we fly home. Does anyone have any insight? That is still value season (tail end of it before holiday rates kick in).

I think your chances are about the same for either level - that said though, even with the AP rate for the tower the rooms are very pricey. We booked with a code for our upcoming stay in the wings for just that reason. We got a rate of $154 per night vs. $274 per night - this is before tax. They had either available and both with the AP code when I asked for the rates - it was all a matter of which you're willing to spend the $$ on. For us, we're only going for the weekend and I just couldn't justify the extra $150 per night or so just for the better view.

Wing rooms are the hardest to get with a discount because they are the first to go. Standard rooms go very quickly!
