I got my original ressie of AKL savannah view changed to $154 + tax (total w/tax = $171) per night for December!!!

It was worth the (ahem) 74 minute wait! More than a 50% savings over my original ressie!

I called at 7:03am, and was on hold for 45min. Got the WL woods view for $139.00 including the tax.
FYI, they had WL Conceirge for less than $250.00 a night including tax.

The CM I spoke with, VERY NICE BTW, said they had been receiving about 100 calls per minute!
She also said that WL has been VERY popular this morning.

Finally, after 1 hour 20 minutes, got the AP rate for my stay at GF sugar loaf......saved $127.00 per nite off of the AAA rate I had already had. The CM said they were swamped with calls...they had anticipated a big volume, but nothing like they are getting....this was supposed to be her day off, but they called her in to work. I can only imagine how crazy it must be! Well, definitely worth the wait.....

On hold 45 minutes. Wanted BC, YC or BW. Nothing available for Oct. 17-25. Only options were Poly Concierge for $306/night and Animal Kingdom for $184/night. I called S&D and tried to get the MSAP rate, but nothing avaiable there either. Went with the Poly.

I had wanted Dec. 6 - Dec. 11, but the only thing they had for the 6th was concierge.

Bad luck for me! After holding for 25 min, I was finally talking to somone checking rates for 2 possible dates in Nov., and my cell phone disconnected! Am starting all over now! I did discover that I can't afford 4 nights at Boardwalk Inn ($1200!!!!), but WL was $139.50 a night.

That doesn't mean availability won't open up -- just be prepared if that is what you want. We had a WL room booked for like $250 a night the 2nd through the 9th to avoid higher rates for Value Season. Was hoping for an AP rate that would be good enough to let us afford to add the 1st in.

Well, after being on hold for 25 minutes, DrMickey had to go to work and left the phone in my not so capable hands (DW). After another 25 minutes or so, Thomasina answered. She was my CM and was really great and very patient with me -- THANK YOU! She said even regular rate availability was very tight that week probably due to conventions. The only AP rate she could offer was for Carribean Beach, so I snagged it for $99 a night. I added the 1st which is the last day of Value Season for $122. That includes tax. 2 separate reservations to do it that way.

I asked about cancellation. No penalty up to 5 days out. Put my deposit on the cc now. No penalty for modifications to the reservation.

Kinda freaky what they know about us. DrMickey punched in our phone # and address. When Thomasina answered, she knew my name! I guess that means we are really addicted.

I called at 6:55 and waited about 30 minutes; got off the phone about 7:40. Already had ressies at Contemporary for October 14-18, standard room, but she had no availability to switch me over. At that time I could have gotten CBS for $110, but chose a garden view at the Poly for 227.50 (includes taxes.)

Figaro1 and Skiwee1, looks like we'll all be at the Poly at the same time!

For GF garden view (3 nights - 12/17-12/20) we got $666 (includes tax) - its $199 a night (plus tax).


Our AAA rate was $964 for 3 nights!

139.38 for woods veiw for 12/24-12/29. Courtyard was available for 156.00. Now here is the kicker we saved $1193.10.

That does include taxes. Also the concierge rate during peak time was 244.00 per night.

I have been reading everyone's posts and I haven't called b/c we are leaving next week and will be there for 12 days in Sept. Then I read Stimpy's post saying the CM said there were Sept. rates. So I just called I was on hold for only 15 minutes I thought that was pretty good, after reading all the posts I was prepared for a long wait. The CM was very helpful she did look things up and she seemed thorough and she said there are absolutely no discounts for the month of Sept. Unless of course AAA which I already have. Good luck to everyone else still trying!! Joan

deluxe rooms are broken up into 3 catagories now and they wouldn't come up for our stay

WL Jr Suites, Unavaliable

I am going to check later in the week or early next week once the dust settles. I am willing to bet that Swan and Dolphin rooms become more available during our stay. I was quoted $139 a night except for one Fri and Sat @$205. I bet I'll get it for less in a couple of days as soon as some of you folks canel those Swan ressies!!

Oh yeah, on hold for 30 min.

Sorry! I had a feeling the CM was just blowing me off! I hope you got a good rate with AAA
