AP rates are killin' me!

I punched in some dates on the AP website last night and came up with $175 for WL. I sooooooooo wanted to book but...hubby is not a traveler, and I have been to WDW with friends (5 nights) and family (8 nights) and to Maine (6 nights) all since 9/1. He is getting a little grumpy with me for being gone so much. I am going to try to talk him in to a trip for our anniversary, but without the grandkids (and my dau won't let me take them without her) on a scale of 1-10 the chances are about a -2. It's just killing me that my AP is stagnating. Just had to vent.

I don't blame you - that is a great rate. Does it include tax?

But the trouble I've always found with AP's is that they encourage you to go more because you're getting in the parks free.

How far from WDW do you live? It is your anniversary. I would try to think of something different there that he would love doing and bribe him with that. Does he like golf? The courses in WDW are amazing.

Or if you live somewhere like New York where the restaurants are expensive, you could say something like - it's only cost slightly more to go to WDW for a couple of nights than go out to a nice restaurant on our anniversary.

Nothing wrong with a quick weekend get away. Ive done it before with a great rate.

I was the same last year when we had our APs . I get a break now but I'm sure it will start all over in July when We get tem again. We did a Oct trip last year not planned because of a great AP rate and SW fares for a quick 4 day weekend
