AP Rate question

If we wanted to take advantage of the AP resort rate (when they do come out), could just one of us get an AP, or does the whole family need them? We could not take real advantage of the AP as far as the theme parks go, so we'd only want one for the resort rate. Is this allowed?

Yep, only one person needs to have the AP for a resort discount and you don't need it to make the reservation. You just need to have it at check in.

You only need one adult ap to get the rate for your resort. The best part is you do not need it to book the room, just have to have it at check in.

So if they do not have ap rates for your time you are not out the extra $$$.

I'm waiting to see if they get released for my trip in Dec. even though I'm only going to the parks for 5 days it will save me enough money to upgrade to the Poly from the Contemporary. The only sad thing about buying the ap is makes you want to go again, even if your not planning on it.

you only need 1 person in the room to have an Ap in order to get the AP rate. You can even have a child's AP to get teh rate.

We are looking into AP/PAP, so any information would be helpful.

Are there normal "seasons" that they offer discounts, or is it randomly chosen? Do they announce them, or do you have to be lucky and keep calling?

Is there a normal discount percentage, if so what is it, or does the discount vary?

We're trying to decide if it would be worth it for us, since we aren't Florida residents.

What info do you need to give to book the room under the AP/PAP rate then??

You just request an AP rate, they do not ask for any additional info than a normal reservation. They are supposed to ask to see the AP at check-in but rarely do.
