AP Rate on a Wilderness Cabin?

We are considering a Ft. Wilderness Cabin for our Oct. trip.

Has anyone recently gotten an AP rate for the cabins and if so, when is it for and how much was it? I want to make sure I am comparing the same "season", so please tell me everything.

I think we may have been in a different season, but we were able to get a FW cabin in January, on an AP rate. We had already booked, and paid in full at rack rate a room at PO-R. When the AP rates came out, there was no availability at PO-R for our whole stay, and DH did not want to switch resorts. So, for the same amount we had already paid, we switched over to the cabins. ($139/night before taxes). This was Value Season.

We REALLY enjoyed the cabins, and being at FW and so close to MK was great!

Correct me if I'm wrong but...

from what I understand the AP rates are good thru Sept 30th and are a flat $85 off rack rate. The WDW site lists the cabins as Value season at $229.

So I don't think AP rates are available (yet) for October.

No, the rates are not avail. yet for Oct.

Oct. is regular season as is summer. The AP rates were released for the summer months, so if anyone could post what rate they got for a cabin it would be a good estimate of what they should be in Oct.

I just posted on another thread, but we are going in June for the rate of $154 w/o tax on the AP rate. Otherwise, the rate was $269, so you can really see the savings. The best rate I had before deciding to buy the AP was for the BBY code ($169). I have added 2 nights on to the front of my ressie before the rest of my family flies in at the POFQ, and I think the rate was $74 per night. The AP more than pays for itself and I wish I would have done this last year except that we had a fantastic deal with the FTP.

2003 AP rates ranged from $119 to $144 at various times for the cabins.
