AP Rate is definately worth it!!!

I just booked April 13-16 at WL (3 nights) for $776. This is a great price for Easter Weekend. One Annual Pass cost $444 (including shipping) an two 8 day premium park hopper passes at around $290 each. Total cost around $1800.

CR told me that as long as the first night is on April 13, then you could get the AP rate for the length of your stay. AP rates were also available at BW, BC, GF, OKW. Sorry none were available for POLY or POR.

The AAA rate for this same reservation was $1962.86.

We will be then be staying at OKW for 6 nights. I rented DVC points at $10 per point...total cost for the 6 nights is $1111.00. The AP rate at OKW was also great but not as good as renting points.

As an annual pass holder, I can purchase the DDE for $50. This will save 20% at all meals and snacks.

My recommendation...purchase the AP...save money....get several perks.

Only thing is the AP rate for DDE is now $60.00 for one card and add an additional $25 if you want a second card. Not a real big difference for the one card, but just so that you know.

The Disney website is still showing availability for AP holders up to April 8th so I wonder will a lot of people be caught out, not knowing that if they contact CRO by phone they could get availability up to April 13th as you have. Just a thought. You'd think Disney would co-ordinate the website with the telephone bookings.

OKW was $725 for April 13-16. This is a bit cheaper than renting points on a weekend. It was going to cost around $720 for April 14-16 for a DVC rental. One night for free by my count! Friday and Saturday in April is around 36 points per night.
