AP rate if checking in on July 4th?

I'm getting myself confused. Normally if you check in the rate at check-in applies during your stay (except if you are staying on DVC points.) If you check in on July 4th (the last date for the code) and stay several days would you keep the AP code rate for the entire stay or can you not book any nights past 7/4 with the code?

As long as it is all on the same res., you keep the rate you checked in with. It works that way with the seasons, anyway, I believe it also works that way with the codes. Anyone?

Correct, the rate you get on the first day is the rate you get for the entire stay.

We are checking in on July 4 for 6 nights (departing July 10). I just switched to the AP rate for the WL for $139 a night. They will honor the rate for the entire length of stay.

Now, the question is what to do if AP rates come out for the July 5th on. They should be lower then the current discounts because they will be based on value season rates instead of regular season. I will probably keep my 7/4 AP rate at the WL and then try either switch to the Poly (if the rate is low enough) or book a separate reservation for the WL for the last 5 nights. Every little bit helps!
