AP rate higher than Enchanted Escape?

Hello! I was just checking the AP rate for AsMo for the second half of my Sept trip, Sept 7-10. The enchanted escape preferred room was 117/night. The AP rate is quoted as 133/night for the same room and nights.

I’ve never seen this before. Is this accurate or a glitch? It seems crazy to me that an AP rate would be higher than a general public rate.

I probably won’t switch again, but Looking at other places I’m tempted to just upgrade back to Coronado Springs or POR. It would be ~50 more a night to stay at CSR.

I had expected a larger AP discount for a value. I stayed at ASMu last year for 90/night AP rate at the beginning of December.

This has been happening for years. AP rates come out after public, and with what's left there's not much to discount. Usually it's a different level room, though. Don't forget that Coronado is about to close their pool for renovations ("Fall 2018"), so I would strongly suggest doing POR if you're going in the fall. That's cutting it too close for me to risk it!

I had seen rumblings that the CSR pool would be closed in September. I would have been okay trying it out anyway, but I went with a complete rearrangement of my trip. Booked a preferred room at Movies, dropping my split stay at Art of Animation. Even though Little Mermaid is my favorite, I'd rather pocket the $200 I'm saving. And I'm now planning on visiting AoA one night after park close.

Side note - I sat and watched the AP rate fluctuate within 20 minutes of refreshing the page. I was relatively satisfied with a preferred room at 100/night. The Enchanted Escape offer was 98 for a standard room, so I feel like I came out okay. More in line with what I expected -- I paid 90/night for a standard room in December 2017.

That's crazy! I've been checking to see if anything better comes up for my stay in September....I haven't seen it do that but the resort/room I wanted just isn't available so I wouldn't have noticed if other resorts were doing weird things with their prices.
