Is this a silly LL plan?

For a day we are RDing at MK and going to Epcot at night. If we book all three LLs at Epcot we're obviously constrained by the tiers.

Q1- Is it a crazy idea to book all MK LL's, including a 9:00am quickie, and as soon as we tap into it book a new Epcot LL and modify the other two LLs to Epcot? I've been stalking TT/Remy/Frozen LL's and there have been LL's available to book for later that night until at least 10:00am. This method gets us three great LLs but I also understand comes with a risk of them selling out before I tap into the first ride of the day. We are going to be there Jan 24-27.
Q2 - When we were at WDW last year there really weren't a lot of opportunities to fiddle-faddle and get more LLs throughout the day, we had so much luck with that with Genie+ but last year it seemed like once a ride ran out of LLs it was truly gone for the day. Has that improved at all? Are there more "drops" and LLs to grab later in the day at all the parks?

Thanks!

Why would you do this? If you really want LLMP for Epcot, just select Epcot for your first (3) LLMP vs just using LLMP for (1) attraction at MK.

Yes the following list from Thrill Data show when select attractions add more LLMP thoughout the day.

My logic was, if I book Epcot from the get-go, the best I can do is TT and 2 Tier-2 LLs. By the time we get to Epcot that afternoon, there will be slim pickings to book after I ride them.

If I book a 9:00am burner at MK, as soon as I tap in I can book three new LLs at Epcot with no restrictions and get TT, Remy and Frozen for later that night. The availability for all three have been there before 10am for about a week now, so that risk seems minimized. But I'm probably missing something?

And thanks for the availability data!

The idea isn't crazy or silly, but , as you said yourself, it carries some risk. You may not be able to get a Tier 1 in Epcot after tapping into your first LL at MK. The consolation prize is that you can continue using LLMP at MK while hoping to get those Tier 1's at Epcot if they become available. A few LLs at MK may be worth more than the one Tier 1 at Epcot you'll be putting at risk by trying your strategy, and that's the bad case scenario. You could luck out and get all three Tier 1's at Epcot.

After tapping into your burner, you can also (hopefully) book 2x Tier 1 in Epcot but then keep using your third LL selection in MK throughout the morning.

Something else to consider is you're paying more for LLMP at MK than at Epcot. If you're not planning to use any MK LL's you'll be spending money you don't need to. For example, LLMP is $29 today at MK and $21 at Epcot so $8/person difference.

If you go through with this plan, at the very least you should pick a good one at MK for your first selection and not just a random attraction to burn.

The odds are good that you can get Frozen and Remy for later in the day but Test Track may be gone before you have a chance at it. I like the idea of keeping your 3rd slot open and trying for Test Track during an additional release. The drop time are accurate but be ready because those go very fast.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the grace period has been extended to 2 hours beyond the return window. This is a very helpful feature when hopping as you may not have to rush around between parks and still have plenty of time to reach your first attraction.

Plus, if you want all three LLs for the top rides at Epcot, if you get them early in the morning while at MK, then you won't be able to use any LL (other than your first burner one) at MK. Not sure how late in the day you are planning on transferring to Epcot but that could be a lot of time spent without using the LLMP that you paid for.

Maybe a compromise would be to get two of the three LLs for Epcot to use after the park hop, and keep one slot for MK rides that you can use there (as a previous poster suggested).

I agree with Babe the Blue Ox. Book MK tier 1 and a park opening ride (teacups, barnstormer, whatever). You might be able to get two Epcot tier 1 LL if you are quick. I doubt you will get TT, but it might be possible at the refill times. Five minutes of refreshing once got us Remy at a refill time. If you have to have TT LL, you can prebook that but are unlikely to get Frozen or Remy.

I did something kind of similar but MK opened at 8am so we had an advantage getting Epcot Tier 1's. We had an 8am Pirates that we used at 8:10 and were able to get Remy. By the time we used Space Mt at 9:15 am all the other Tier 1's were gone, I stalked the page and was able to get Frozen but never did see Test Track as available. This was Thanksgiving week 2025 so higher than average crowds but honestly less busy than when we went end of April the year before. We did end up using our 3 passes at MK and got basically every ride at Epcot except Test Track so we had really good luck stacking those 2 parks.

I have found this works the least well as Epcot as your 2nd park. - It's possible but risky. - Our last trip we were able to do this getting test track and Remy after scanning into our lls at mk, however 2 days later and worked tirelessly trying but could not get any of them. - Actually scanned earlier than the 1st day.
