Is is possible to have an AP room rate and book the DDP? I thought that they had allowed this but because my room is discounted I was just told no. I have had a AAA room rate and booked the DDP, but is a AP room rate not allowed to book the DDP without paying rack rate? Thanks,

Yes, you can purchase DDP if you are an AP holder and getting a room discount. You cannot get it during the free dining without purchasing at least a 1 day admission. With the AP you can also purchase the DDE card for $60 that allows a 20% discount on food and drink in many TS locations as well as CS in the Values and a few CS at AK.

Thank you, I just got off the phone and was told that because I had a room discount that I would only be able to cancel the discounted room and pay rack rate for the room if I wanted the DDP. I will call back, hopefully I will get someone else.

You would have to book a room/dining package for AP holders. You cannot just add DDP to a room-only reservation, even if you have an AP room - the reservation must be converted to a package. It's possible that the room/dining package with AP discount is not available for the dates and the resort you are trying to book.

I looked at mousesavers and the code is DCU. Another call and this CM tells me no discounted room with the DDP, so I ask him to tell me what this code means. He does try to apply the code and tells me that I can't apply the code unless I cancel the present reservation which he did not advise because I would definitely lose my rooms. I understand that the room/dining package with the AP discount might not be available, do you think that is what he meant?

Log into the Passholder section of the Disney website and book it from there. I've tried it, and got the discounted room rate + dining. I was comparing prices between that and the Free Dining package. At least if you try it online, you'll know if that package is available for your resort and dates.
