AP questions...arriving with voucher to an AP rate ressie

I've heard that sometimes they let you only have the voucher to check in with an AP rate then let you go and activate it while you already have your room...We are arriving Apr 27 and would possibly like to activate the AP on Apr 28. Do you think this will be a problem? Our anniversary is Apr 28 and we are thinking that next year we could take another trip ending our vaction on the 28th so we can get a lot out of our AP.
Any input would be great!

I just went. Checked in-only had the voucher and they never even asked me for it. We went straight over to MK and activated it and they never asked me for anything.

Same here. We had our vouchers but they never even asked for them. We went over to MK to activate them. They were never asked for our entire trip.

In a worst case scenario, if they asked you for the activated AP, and you didn't have it, they'd give you 24 hours to activate the thing.

Don't worry about it.

In many years of using AP codes, I have only been asked for the AP once, and didn't even get it out before the CM said "that's ok." I wouldn't worry about it.
