AP Question

My AP expired on July 30th. I renewed it on August 5th. The renewal says it is for 13 months instead of 12 months. My question is when does the AP actually expire? Does it expire on August 30th next year or does it go by the day I paid for the renewal?

Actually, 8/29/2018. The 13 month offer only extends the expiration day by an additional 30 days.
