AP question

Taking care of the last few details for our Feb/March 2016 trip. We've only had APs once before, in 2014; I guess those were the "old" APs. Am figuring the Gold Pass would be our best option for this and next year's trips. My question is, if we purchase the APs online through the website, and "redeem" them when we arrive on Feb 25, will the activation date be when they are picked up, or when they are (pre)purchased? Hoping that it is when they are picked up as that would work better; would rather "prebuy" and not leave the purchase until we arrive. Or does it make a difference anyway?

Yes, I suggest calling Member Services to get your AP. They will get you the DVC entitlement and any applicable dIscount and they will tie it to your reservation so you can get fastpasses at 60 days out. You will get a voucher in the mail. Take this to Guest Relations on the first day you want to use the pass, and that becomes the first day of your year. You may be able to do this yourself, but I get the feeling that they have better tools.

Never got a voucher in the mail calling MS you get a voucher number and you bring it with you but I have been renewing my AP now for years
