My daughter has a solo trip planned later this summer. She is going to buy an AP ahead of time as we have several other trips planned in the next year. We know that if she buys it now she will get a voucher that she turns in to get her AP when she gets there. What we don't know is if she buys her voucher now can she link it to her hotel reservation so she can make FP+? She would like to make some FP+ prior to getting there as she is going in a fairly busy time of the year, but can't without a park ticket attached. Will the AP voucher allow her to do this?

YES you can! You should already have an existing MDE account that you created when you booked your WDW resort reservation, login to this account and purchase your AP while logged in, the AP ticket should automatically attach to your selected MDE profile. Once it is attached you can begin booking FP+, etc... IF for some reason the AP does not automatically attach to your MDE profile, on your redemption voucher you will find a printed ticket number that you can manually input into your MDE account and "link" to your selected MDE profile.

Once you arrive at the park all you would have to do is go to a ticket window or Guest Relations to claim your physical ticket and/or Magic Band by presenting your AP redemption voucher. Your FP+ that you selected online on your MDE account will already be linked to that ticket number. BAM!

Chiming in to second that she can indeed set up her fastpasses with the voucher. We did this before our December trip (even though we only bought them a couple of days ahead of time.). The vouchers had a scannable bad code and I used our iPad to scan them. Manual entry of the number would also work.

Yes, the voucher can be used to book FP.
