AP Question

We just purchased AP's along with my parents, who are DVC members, so we were able to take advantage of the special. Since they live in an in-law at our house and we all share the same address, we are able to use the special as well. They were purchased online and logged into their account, so when she goes into her MDE she can see all the passes. I can't link any in my MDE because they are already linked under the confirmation number in her account. So my question is - if she clicks "reassign tickets" and clicks on my name now that we are linked in MDE, will that give me access to my AP's? Or do I need to wait until we receive the package in the mail (whatever they ship) to then link them? We are traveling in May and will be eligible for FP selection soon, so I'm trying to figure it out.

We were not allowed to purchase an AP for our 21yo son, as according to the DVC cast member we spoke with, he is an adult and has to be named on the DVC contract to be eligible for the offer (which would cost $500 to change, and then he would have full rights to the contract, which we do not want). He has the same last name and although he is at college, the same home address not during school time.

You were misinformed. You can purchase the APs for immediate family members who live at the address listed on the DVC membership. If your 21yo son still lives at your address (and that address shows on his ID) you should be able to buy one for him. We bought them for our kids (22 and 19) with no issues. They are not named on our contract.

Once the ticket is assigned to you you should be able to see it in your MDEx account.

WDW and DL Passes may only be purchased by Members for themselves
and their immediate family living in their household, up to
a total of eight (8) per year.

At time of purchase or certificate redemption (for purchases online), Members must present their Member ID Card, and if applicable, proof of residency, and all adults (ages 18 and up) must present a valid driver’s license or state
identification card showing they reside in the same household.

It's too bad the CM gave you bad info.
