I currently have 6 day passes on our package however would like 7 day or possibly 8 we are going for 10 days with other parks planned. Question is would it be worth it just to invest in the AP insteading of adding a day for each of us. Is the difference just the cost of the price between the 2? I understand it may save me more money to be able to use that for discounts for meals. I guess I would have to upgrade all of ours though for the extra days. Thanks for any advice!

As far as I know they don't offer tickets over 6 days any longer. Honestly, we upgraded our 5 day hoppers to APs and it only cost us about $100 for 4 people....it's really worth it to upgrade, depending on blackout days of course. :)

If you're not staying on site then yes, you will lose the early entries. AP holders can only gain early entry by staying in a resort hotel.

We are staying onsite at PP, I don't think I want to wait until the last day to upgrade than we won't be able to use the discounts at the restaruants etc... the rest of the trip. So since we are staying onsite we can still use the early entry? Sorry for all of the questions, never bought or looked into an AP before, not sure why with all of our visits to both parks!

Yes, if you're staying onsite you will still have Early Entry.

If you're staying on site you can even go all days Early Entry is offered, you just need to show your hotel keycard.

We've done this last year, so this is a first hand eye-witness confirmation. ;)

Thank you every one for your responses, I knew staying on site we could enter every day they offered, just wasn't sure how it worked if we upgraded to an AP. Thanks again!

Yep, staying onsite takes the Magic Morning entry entirely away from your admission type. It's the only way AP holders can get MM.

So I'm putting this out there since you're thinking of upgrading anyway, and if I'd done what I'm suggesting we would have saved a few hundred on our first big trip.

If you're thinking of getting APs, you might want to check the AP rate against what you're paying (I assume for a package). They *finally* released the GOOD AP rates. It seems you're going mid-November, if my day counting is right. I'm seeing rates of 149/night at PPH then.

Now you do have to include tax, resort fee per night and tax on the resort fee, so be SURE to add those in if you do the math for your trip. And you won't get the extras from a package.

What's funny is that for our first trip, I KNEW about the AP rate goodness while it was still possible to cancel our package, but I just didn't want to. I wanted the package for the first time, even though it cost a couple hundred more. But once we were there it felt so silly to not have booked at the AP rate, and it was too late by then!
