AP Question

When purchasing an AP over the phone, Disney mails you a certificate or voucher, right? You then use the certificate for your first park entrance. While in the park, you go to the Bank of Main Street to get your real pass. Am I right? Is the bank open in the evening around 8 or 9? Also, we are eating dinner at the DL Hotel before we go to the parks. Would the AP certificate get us the discount? Any info is appreciated.

I've never ordered through the mail. Sorry. The bank is opened as long as Main Street is. If there is any way for you to go first thing in the morning, I encourage that. The line only seems to get longer later in the day

I would think they wouldn't give the discount without the actual pass with your photo and all your info on it. but I could be very wrong. I'm new to the whole AP thing, too.
