Hi:) I was hoping someone could help me with a few AP questions. I called direct but I don't think I was given correct info.
Is it possible to buy the AP on line and have it mailed to my home before we get to Universal? If so, is it possible to buy the guest passes on line and have them mailed as well once I do receive the AP?
When I called the person I spoke with said I couldn't even buy them on line that I had to wait to get to the park, but on the UO website it gives the option to buy the AP on line. Any help?

thank so much!! :worship:

You can buy the AP online but you can't buy tickets with the AP online. That is probably what they meant on the phone.

Thank you damo. She actually said I couldn't buy them online because the AP is a contract that can't be purchased online. That's why i thought maybe I had been given incorrect info. Thanks so much for clearing it up for me. I have only ever bought tickets through UT, so would Universal mail the AP to me and then i just buy the other tickets once we get to the park? Also, do they start the day of purchase or the first use?

Thank you again!

Who were you talking to?

Just go here and buy the AP: https://www.universalorlando.com/Theme-Park-Tickets/Annual-Passes/Non-FL-Annual-Passes.aspx

You can even sign up for flex pay from there.

The only delivery option that shows up for me during a dry run is to pick up the passes at the window (which in my experience also means the willcall kiosks), so just do that. They don't, as far as I know, send the AP to you in the mail. From my experience it's always a willcall situation when you get there. Get the AP, go buy the tickets at a discount if that's what you choose to do (be sure to check the cost of buying them online at the online discount, or even buying through undercovertourist or another site like that), have fun.

ETA: or here if you're a Florida resident. https://www.universalorlando.com/Theme-Park-Tickets/Annual-Passes.aspx

Which phone number did you call? It would be very interesting to know which department you were talking to.

They no longer mail APs. They used to, but stopped a few months before they switched to plastic passes. The only option now is to pick them up at the park.

But you can still order them online. Park pickup has been in place for a while, like you said.

Thanks for all of the info. I went online and called the number on the Universal website for ticket help it was 407-224-7840 and spoke with someone named Brenda. She said since the AP was a contract that had to be signed for, the only option to purchase was at the park. I asked her if I could pay online now and pick up in the park and she said no. I was confused by this but didn't know enough to argue with her. At least now I know i can buy the pass now and pick that and the rest of the tickets up when we get there. I will double check the cost with that an UT. Thanks again!

I kinda want to call Brenda and help her see her wrongness, LOL. I won't, but I want to.

Perhaps she's the one that has been telling Disers they have to pay more than the cost of the passes themselves to upgrade from season to the next AP up?

Sorry, one more question..(i hope). I have only ever bought our tickets ahead of time with UT so have never had to wait and buy tickets at the park. Since i have to wait because i want to get the AP is there a way to do this before our park day? We will be in Orlando 3 days before our first US/IOA days, but won't be checking into HR until our first park day. Wasn't sure if there was a way to get a jump on getting the tickets so it would be done before our first park day. :tilt:

You could just buy your AP at the HRH when you check in. They have a ticket desk.
